The strange thing is that the leak was only apparant for maybe 2 minutes, which means that it is probably the clack no? Regarding the superheater, what is the best material to use to seal it? A gasket or silicon or something else?I must add a filter too. Is a fuel pump filter for old motorbikes good? or will it resist the flow of the water too much? Sorry for all the questions Marc In order to seal the steam dome I used some stuff called "gastite" from a car accessory shop. It is semi-hardening compound and I smeared it on the metal surfaces and made a new paper gasket. Might work for you. I made a filter. You can buy brass gauze on ebay. I made it into a tube about 2 cms diameter and 5 cms long. I used jubilee clips to fix it over brass discs, 2 cm diam and about 6 mm thick, one at each end of the tube. I drilled a hole in one of the discs which was a tight fit on the copper supply pipe.

Marc Great videos, the loco goes well, but, the first video with the girl getting on while the train was in motion is extremely dangerous and to be avoided .

I agree, it was clearly against the rules. But this was a special train at the end of the event with the staff, clearly they thought safety is something that didn't concern them.......
