Hi all,
I'm getting to a stage where I'd like to paint my frames to stop them from rusting. What sort of paint do you chaps use and do you have any tips on painting?
Regards Dan

Knowing just how damp Manchester can get this time of the year, mum was born there!! A quick clean and spray with a car spray does wonders. Undercoat is porous so you will see rust eventually. I have had great sucess with a banana box to stop any wind outside on a still sunny day, the spray going out of the base with your parts sat on blocks of wood or held with a disopsible glove or hung from simple wire hooks. Slot these into the top.
Once everything is together and works clean up and do a final paint. I am looking into getting a grit blaster for under the overhang of the garden workshop and converting the Greenhouse into a spray booth, killing two bugs with one needed spray... Yes dear tomatoes are Great Western green and that variety is Rob Roy blue!!! Gets moved to the joke section. David. Developing a passion for all Black locomotives!!!
