At the moment a hard session in the workshop lasts just one hour with my knee and ankle about to collapse and I am in need of a serious massage.
Wonder what could be arranged.......?

I don't suppose it was his knee or ankle being "treated" that caused that! Am seeing the vet in an hour or so. No doubt the offer of enough tablets to make me rattle like a loose connecting rod will be the outcome. No thanks Doc. I am on the lookout for a very tall stool so that I can park my rear whilst working. I made the workbench quite high and I can't find a stool tall enough to match. I am great for an hour at almost anything, but whether standing, walking, sitting or lying, that's it, I have to change what I am doing. Lunch hour over, dog walk time now!

Sorry! Got lost among the quotes within quotes and have, I hope, deleted my meaningless reply. What I was trying to do was to suggest googling "gas lift kitchen/bar stools. They won't lift you while seated but you can raise the seat while you take part of your weight with your feet. Maybe they don't go high enough for your purpose but they're a great help when working at a limited range of heights. Alternatively, where several people use the seat, each can find the height that suits him best. Just a thought. Bob

I can recommend one of these www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10152700/ just the right height when at my miller although I still stand for the lathe. Ian

The problem I have with tea mugs. I put the tea bag and sugar in, add boiling water and leave a few minutes to brew. Then I pour the cold stewed mess away and start again. This happens at least once a day. Is there a mug for this? I have noticed when I am using the tailstock, my bum cheek rests against my surface table It's B!??DY cold this time of year. And NO It won't fit anywhere else

You need to be careful - you wouldn't want brown stains on the surface table.

Precisely, In these cold damp days a granite surface table would be better. However cast iron is what I could afford
