what a lovely subject for a miniature loco! LSWR Adams 4-4-2T 'Radial tank', of which 488 survives on the Bluebell Railway.
Don Bradley's RCTS volumes on LSWR locos has the original GA drawing. i forget which volume.
Ben on here might be able to help you with specific details as he is a volunteer on the Bluebell, and Eddie Gibbons on here has built a beautiful miniature version and am sure will help also.
i can remember 488 in steam on the Bluebell, which is going back a bit as she hasnt steamed for many many years and is on static display.
488 has the original single slidebar and Adams type crosshead. some locos had double slidebars fitted later on. some had Drummond boilers fitted later on with the safety valves on top of the dome.
the NRM at York have quite a lot of the drawings.
cheers, julian

Books to locate at second railway bookshops (online) are: LSWR Locomotives by D L Bradley The LSWR at Nine Elms by Barry Curl.
I did quite a bit of research on the 4-4-0s X2, T3 & T6. NRM have drawings available thanks to Bradley's work many years ago.
Barry Curl's book is a recent publication containing hundreds of photographs from original glass plates.
Both books are essential reading!
