I have just posted a similar query in the gauge 1 category, but as it is a diesel or diesel electric model I should perhaps post it here. I have restored a 3.5" steam engine and am in the process of building another. However a neighbour has just gifted me with another engine that I believe is gauge 1. Unfortunately it seems that the various forums on this site have run out of room for posting any pictures, so I am left with trying to describe it. It as a single pantograph CoCo locomotive - the pantograph not being centrally located. The front and rear slope quite a bit but flat. The model is unpainted but well made of soldered nickel silver plate work. However it is only bodywork, no motor of any sort is in place nor does there seem to be anything prepared to motorise it. Given the various other projects I am working on, I am not sure how much time to devote to this model. The pantograph seems to have been broken, so at the very least this will need to be repaired. Also it needs painting, though I have no idea as to what livery. Any suggestions? Mike Baines Link to pictures of loco: link

It seems that what I have got is a gauge 1 model of a BR class 89 locomotive, with a Bracknell Willis pantograph. Plenty of pictures on the internet to make a decision regarding livery
