I'm finding that I'm sometimes getting this message when I testing links that I've put in posts. This is one I've posted just now, and it failed with that message. I then tried setting the link again and it worked. Testing it again, it threw the error again. www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0rS-3uZfM8Here's the above link so you can see if it works for you. I use Adblock and also have a huge Hosts file that has the names of thousands of junk ad servers so I don't have to see their rubbish. Does anyone know why this is happening? My guess is that the Forum software is doing the redirect. If I copy that URL into Chrome's search bar, it comes up fine.

Works here too. Southampton
I've opened both references repeatedly without problem.

I suspect it's a redirect that most people aren't blocking. It's not a problem as long as the links I'm posting are visible to Forum members. I can always copy and paste the URL without the redirect, but it's annoying that it's redirected in the first place. I see that Tapatalk uses this, so it wouldn't surprise me to find that this site does too.

It's apart of the Proboard advertising revenue, every link that someone posts, has a redirect via viglink website, that's what you're seeing. They track the URL and receive money from it, it costs money to stand up and support a forum like this, so they'll try and make whatever money they can from advertising. This has been occurring on the internet for years now, sites, like quidco and topcashback use similar methods. apps.ghostery.com/en/apps/viglinkI hope this answers your question.

Thanks, I guessed that's what's happening, but it's only started here in the last few days or weeks. At least it doesn't seem to be preventing others from seeing the links. It's only because my Ad-Blocker is filtering out this sort of thing.
