Watched it again tonight and actually enjoyed it a bit more. But am I going insane? Was this not a slightly different version? The footage was the same but I am sure there was some comments/commentary on the first one I watched. For example, Ryan expressed a certain amount of embarrasment about the safety valves lifting, he said "Sometimes it doesn't always go to plan". There was an explanation of what a "red banner" was and why it was there. I didn't know what a "white light" was for until it was explained, and at the tunnel it was mentioned that it went in on a curve and came out straight. (I might have imagined that bit). None of this was in tonights version. Please tell me I'm not losing it! Edit: Just seen on the ME forum that someone else spotted the same difference! Thank heavens! Cancel the straitjacket and the padded cell!

It's quite common to make different versions of the same program for different transmission slots and audiences.

Flying Scotsman reopened the Settle and Carlisle railway today after being closed for sixteen month due to a landslide. Should be on the six o'clock news if your interested. John.

Talking of Flying Scotsman, she will be at the Bluebell Railway from the 13th to the 19th of April. They will also be recreating the picture taken at Kings Cross in 1927 of 4472 and Typhoon from the RHDR

The BBC coverage managed to show 'Tornado' running across the viaduct 🙄.
