Comparing the photos, the backhead is completely different and the lettering on the ebay one is far superior

I was looking at the link given by George for Stationroadsteam and noticed the comment of 'the motion being wrong but works?' I don't even know what valve gear it is so can only look at things which relate to Walscherts gear. In doing this and if it's the same, the return crank is in the wrong position, I notice having just done my own. Are return crank positions the same with different valve gear or totally different?

Pete You should have gone to a well known high st optician chain The description says the "motion work is WORN but working" Haha.. don't tell my wife, she's been telling me for years that I'm losing my mind. the question still stands though, is the return crank correct for whatever the motion it is, it's certainly wrong for walschaerts which is what caught my eye..

Pete,
The return crank appears correct for slide valves rather than piston valves. The combining link connects differently with slide valves too.
