Hi all, I have just bought a 3.6hp diesel (Lister Petter AA1) and would like to make a quicky job of a loco. I've already got a ride on mower gearbox (3 for / 1 rev) if it would be of use. Anyone got ideas to how to make it, any big club locos out there of similar form? I'm going to need a clutch of some sort, any recomendations of sourcing one either centrifugal or manual operation?

Flat belts take up susprisingly gently, contrary to v-belts which take up with a snatch.

Simon Old Qualcast motor mowers have a centrifugal clutch which transmits a similar amount of power. Ron
