Hi folks i am looking for an injector for my 3.5 LBSC Britannia that can go in Santa's sack 😀. What flow rate should I be looking for and can you recommend any particular products? cheers

I would recommend a Chiverton type injector from Pavier Steam. I now have several of these on my various locos. When I turn on the water or steam, it doesn't seem to matter which order you do it, they just work every time without having to look down as you drive. I'm a very satisfied customer. I no longer bother with fitting hand pumps to my engines i just use these injectors.

Thanks for responding I have found some information on the forum about injectors but it appears to pertain to 5 inch guage locos. Doesn't appear to be much relating to smaller gauges.
The steam injection pipe on the LBSC Brit is specified at 5/32 thin wall tubing. The 16 oz injector is the smallest one made by Chiverton which I am told would be too big for a 3.5 Brit tubing. Trevor

I have two No 2 (11oz) injectors from Maccmodels (don’t know who makes them) on my 5” gauge 3F tank loco. It’s quite a small boiler but these two work well on it. They can be used with 5/32 pipe, although I actually used 3/16, but it is only just over 1/8 bore.
Cheers Don

Paviersteam 16 oz per min injectors will be fine for a 3.5"g Brit, the Paviersteam Len Steel makes are the only ones I will recommend to the Gordon Chiverton designs; usual disclaimer.

Had at least 8 injectors of various sizes from Paviersteam (made by Len Steel) and all worked 100%.
Pete.
