I have started to look at the piping for my 5" Stowe locomotive (ME 4264, Jan 2006 by Neville Evans) and the drawings are pretty vague and non existent as to the piping arrangement for the injector(s). My expertise in this area is sadly lacking, so I need some expert advice.
The only piping shown on the drawings is a 1/8" feed line from the axle driven tender pump that connects to a tee from a hand pump, also on tender and heads toward the loco. That's it!!
I'm assuming this feed then goes to the injector valve (Are two required?). A steam line from the cab manifold goes to the injector valve and the whole lot then goes to the boiler clacks.
What other stuff goes in this diagram?? Line filter, check valve, throttling valve(s) shut-off valves.....etc, etc. What's needed and what's not?
What size injector (Will purchase, rather than make!), is recommended as well as piping sizes. (Steam pipe from manifold, injector to each clack valve......)
Any HELP, suggestions or diagrams would really be appreciated.

I would suggest a quick look at almost any LBSC or Martin Evans design which has a pump and an injector, especially those intended for beginners. Most had a diagram (rather than a drawing to scale) of the water feed pipework. Without old copies of ME to hand, I can't give exact references, but perhaps Simplex or similar.
Such a diagram would give you a clear idea of what has to connect to what. Exactly how you run the pipes from A to B is usually a matter to be worked out on the job, aiming for as straightforward routing as possible.
Hope that may at least get you started.
Good luck

Typo obviously, 3/16 delivery. The readily available 3/16 refrigeration pipe that is 20G has a smaller bore than K&S 5/32 tube. You want thin wall 3/16 pipe of 22G or thinner.

Umm, I don't claim to be an expert in these matters, but wouldn't the line from the tender hand pump and tender axle pump go straight to the boiler via a clack, rather than to the injector which normally has its water supplied by a gravity feed from the tender?
