I've been today helping out on the club stand. Seemed very busy this morning so hopefully it's been successful so far. One or two regular traders missing but I got everything I needed so I'm happy. Hope it continues to be busy over the next 3 days. Ian

I was chatting to an Indian gentleman who has built a lovely showmans engine. He has done the same thing as the Indian railways locomotives, English lettering down one side of the canopy and Hindi down the other side

Hi to everyone we met up with today. YES, many Icings on many cakes and just trying to find the best. Going down the stairs at the very beginning, to going round by car to collect some very heavy cast iron from Colledge Engineering just after the Show closed. Some of the models especially the lovely Twin Sisters and Gresley 01. Laughing and joling with Mat and Julia on the Poly Stand. Chatting with many through the day including Wally form The Heriford Club. And Many friends.
Getting everything we needed at;
Myford. except for wavy washers Permagrit. the last coned rotary file. Blackgares being greeted as David and we will pay on Monday as the card reader failed again!! Areospace stand many long drills and burrs. G and S well a nice chat with Geoff about a Standard 2 and a stock up on bolts and nuts. Model Engineers Laser and a cab kit plus chat with the staff in matching hoodies of an unusual colour. The Light Magnifying stand for another unit as the existing one is just so useful in the house by the drawing board. And Colledge Engineering for the strange lumps... cylinders and new longer crosslide on a Raglan Lathe. Regulator tube for our 01.
Then Martin Evans coming over for a chat, remembering my name, and of course discussing Front Covers.
David and Lily.
Oh and a great chat with the builder of the sailing Barge who also got the sails just perfect, and a comparison to Lilys home sewn dress out of a scarf.

Greetings, I went Thursday and enjoyed it very much, found the wait at the catering stands a bit of a pain, that'sthe only downside. Plenty to see. Back Saturday for another dose. Regards Brian B

I was going and showing progress on the loco. Had an accident during lifting to load, and damaged the firebox clothing (about a week's work to fix), and not sure how it happened. Too much damage to have on show so had to pull out at the last minute, so I won't be there this year.

This is such sad news as I have been following progress for several years as had many others. Best for the repairs Bob. David and Lily.

Thanks David. It shouldn't take too long to sort out. Maybe just about a week's work. I WILL redesign the lifting gear though, to make sure it cannot happen again!!
