I am building a Masie to the words and music of LBSC and have completed about 95% of the loco. I have reached the fitting stage but have just fitted the drain cocks but cannot find any info on linkages. Has the linkage information ever been published? There must be 1000's of Masies out there, can anyone help? Many Thanks I hope to be in steam within the next few months. John

AFAIK there has been no published design for linkages for the Drain cock operation. In fact at least one model I have seen has no linkage, just a pair of pliers to pull the operating rod backward and forward. Another had brackets on the frame with a cross shaft and cranks engaging the operating rods, and a crank for a Bowden cable linkage to the cab. You pays your money and takes your choice. I've also seen the LBSC snifting drain cocks replaced with conventional drain cocks and their linkage which was similar to above ie shaft cranks and bowden cable.
