Guys, Just found this Free Energy Generator. I suspect there is a catch or something. So, who here will be the first to build one?

Youtube has many examples of "perpetual motion" machines where generator-drives-motor-drives-generator. Some of the more ambitious examples use huge flywheels. I'm still waiting for someone to post a self-propelled antigravity machine.

It looked like a lot of work with far too many in-built inefficiencies to be worth replicating, even if it did actually work which I doubt.
I guess its just another impossible gadget to attract views and thereby cover the cost of making.
Just wonder what the reaction would have been if YouTube had been around when the Rev Stirling came up with his magical machine.
What? Stick a blowlamp on at one end and the other end goes round. Nonsense.
Turn one end around and you get a hotter bit and a colder bit. Impossible.

Hi Steve,
It most certainly won't work as it breaks probably half of the laws of physics. The most obvious one being the law of conservation of energy.
The creative thing about all the perpetual motion machines on YouTube is that they all hide some sort of magic trick in them! I tried to spot the wire, but it must be under the bench or underground...
All good fun Chris.

Yep!! None of these fancy machine ideas take into account resistance to motion and friction, and these effect EVERY moving object one way or another!!

I am not an expert in magnetic circuits but I would have thought the magnets would need to make a circuit inside the rotor. All permanent magnet alternators I have come across have the magnets mounted to a steel rotor, either internal or external.

None of the details matter at all. It is a simple con - there is no way within the laws of physics that the machine can work. You are getting more energy out than you are putting in.
As a kid I spent many hours drawing up all sorts of schemes for perpetual motion machines. Only later did I realise that I was wasting my time. The difference between then and now, age 62, is that I have much less time to waste!

It is obviously a con, it cannot work. What amazes me is why someone would create a video showing detailed contruction of a machine that cannot work just to fool a limited audience and it is not even April 1st. They wanted to remain anonymous by pixellating their faces assuming they didn't want to be lampooned by their more informed peers.

If they get enough views they actually start to 'earn' money from the site advertisers
