Hi from sunny suffolk which makes a nice change in the weather. As a newbie is it okay to ask a dippy technical question about drilling steel on the board...

Hello, I am new to this site and browsing through saw your post. I use an excellent tool to help me when drilling, it is an optical centre punch. For a picture have a look at this link www.mikes-models.com/ccsess3.html If you click on the photo you will get a bigger picture. I find it gives excellent results every time and is so simple to use. When looking down the perspex rod the view is magnified and easy to pick up your markings. Holding it in position you simply change the perspex rod for the metal centre punch and a light tap gives you a good indentation for the centre drill to follow. Hope this helps. Mike
