Try cadstd www.cadstd.com It is a 2d system one version is free, the enhanced version is about £25 approx. I use it its good. There is quite a bit of corespondance on this subject on this forum but CAD does not work on the search engine. Look for 'CAD packages' on page 4 of this forum for all the info.

Is there a free version of autocad as i have used this at college before and found it to be pretty good and fairly easy to use.

Try this link , it's at the bottom of the page. Some other handy stuff in there as well. tbsteam - there is an autocad lookalike in there for free, might be worth a look. Cheers, Andy

Go to www.smex.net.au and go to the reference section. There you will find a link to several pages with affordable or free 2D and 3D CAD programs. David
