A frind of mine has purchased a 7.25 Jessie for £700 which was last steamed in 1993 it is complete I thought it was more than a bargain does anyone have a rough idea what this would be valued at now. John.

The castings alone would be that much. IIRC Station Road has sold a few Bridgets/Jessies, £3500-£4500 comes to mind. Even if this one has to be re-boilered (and it's not otherwise beaten up and will actually run) it appears to be a steal.
BTW, my avatar (photo) to the left is a Bridget/Jessie driver.

I've always liked Jessie - it's a beautifully-proportioned locomotive. Ken Swan did a terrific job on it - and the draughtsmanship on the drawings is rather nifty too. Often fancied building one in 5" gauge...

Quick question - does anyone know if it's still possible to obtain drawings of any of Ken Swan's designs?
