This cab side now has removable glass windows: I don't know why I bothered 'cos I can't see the ruddy glass! Still, I'm sure it's the right thing to do. JB Mounting method: two brass runners 1.5mm thickness. The glass is 1.18mm. The sums tell you that the retaining bits aren't very thick! The rear view. I might put some brass edges on the panes. Cutting small brass is a bit tricky for me. A slitting saw was used to make the rebate and cut the piece off parallel. Cutting the glass slides. A simple jig was made using my old apprentice piece square. My partner cuts a lot of glass for her jewellery. I must say that her posh oil filled cutter makes a lot cleaner job than my old nail (don't tell her I borrowed it!).

Great workmanship, and I like your build photo's too. I agree if it were me I to would go to the trouble and put glass in, no doubt it will make the difference when you've completed it.
