Hi JB yes it looks good but depending on what it goes for you could end up paying another £300 for the missing bits as I think it would be unlikely they would turn up even on Ebay

This recently added to the listing:
"Please note, I have just spoken to Pro Machine Tools LTD 01780 740956 and they have both the missing parts in stock. The swivel base is £74.00 and the tool post is £187.00 both prices are plus vat."

I took the 4 way toolpost off mine and fitted a QC. probably a cheaper option in this case! Mind you, I could be tempted with the right offer for the toolpost.... JB

Gareth I was about right then with plus £300 your prices plus vat =£313.20 then I think there would be postage on top Paul

I have no financial interest in this lovely machine, but if I can help it go to a good home then here goes: I have the Instruction/Service book and original Sales Brochure for it which I can pass on for some beer money! This is what it looks like when cleaned up! Here is the Technical Spec The lathe separates from the mill and the cabinet for easy shipment. Best of luck. JB

Other thing to bear in mind - spindle nose DIN 55021. Very good if you live on the continent and can afford chucks to suit, otherwise you will be making your own backplates ... You can get both backplates and chucks here in UK but the prices are ... Chris

Thanks for that Chris,
I was not aware that the Emco had the same nose as my Prazimat.
(Correction: mine is a DIN 55021 "3" not a "4"... good job I have already made all the backplates I need.)

Hi jo and welcome to fellow Prazimat owner It is indeed #3 (as is apparently Maximat) BTW I know I can (and have) made backplates, but what disappoints me is the price of DIN 55021 chucks - mounting directly without backplate shortens overhang, so would be desirable but not at the price being asked for ... Here's another Maximat on ebay. At first sight it looks expensive at £3500, but there is a separate mill, a dividing head, and lots of tooling. A virtually compleat workshop for a newbie! It has one bid and 20 hours to go. JB
No, I'm not on commission!

I must be getting some knowledge (or some sort of disease) from my time on this forumn as I am now finding myself thinking ........."oh, for a place to put such a machine"!
