No messagers here for a couple of days, and all the message boards, steam ralated and others, are much quieter than usual.
Is everyone watching the Olympics or something?

I was wondering the same thing Alan. Been busy myself updating the Andover Society web site . So have only been lurking here for a few days.

I also have been wondering where everyone is, I was expecting loads of pictures of projects & plans, but it seems most people just lurk. A pity about the demise of the old list.

(Note: this posting is very much an 'AND ME' type. I'm also trying to get my postings total up and thereby shake off the 'junior member' tag ). Yea! I'ts too quiet. The other day the server threw me off telling me to come back later as there were too many folk connected. I did come back and got the same again. I didn't notice much evidence of people being there (i.e. guests/members stats). Today (Monday 16th Aug) I'm find the site very sloooow.

Well I've logged on nearly every day,and noticed that there was hardly anyone about, even the mighty Tel has been conspicuous by his absence. It must be holiday time!

Hi All,
I log on several times most days, and seldom find anyone else here.
And the server threw me out over the weekend too! ;D

Hi,
Geoff, I trust you were not unduly affected by the flooding. I have been watching it on TV, since the first pictures came in around 6 p.m. It is so reminiscent of the Lynton/Lynmouth tragedy 50 odd years ago.
The amazing thing is that I am located not a million miles away, also on the north coast of Cornwall and we had a lovely day with only a slight shower in the evening - ain't weather just amazing!
Anyway I trust your workshop has survived un-scathed.
Cheers,
Roger Mason, in St. Agnes.

The server overloaded message is not unique to the Model Engineering Clearing House boards. It is proboards server that is overloaded I think. I have had the same message when trying to administer the bulletin board I have just set up for the Andover club. Normally the message clears after two or three attempts and I can get on to one or other of the boards.

Hi Roger, Sorry, I never saw your posting here until this evening. Yes, we are OK, thanks. We are on the edge of Bodmin Moor, and the rain just runs away past our door, fortunately! We are about 15 miles from Boscastle. We normally attend the St Agnes Rally in August (this weekend??), but can't make it this year, otherwise we could have met for a chat. Next year perhaps? Now, I just must get on with that Maid of Kent It's becoming something of a nightmare, haha. Regards Geoff
