I've just watched this programme on Ch 5. Whilst on assignment in Pakistan I found their transport arrangements 'interesting' to say the least, but would I travel on the Congo railway? Nope! Draw your own conclusions...... JB

I enjoyed it. The naff title and the fact I find Chris Tarrant a bit irritating meant I was expecting the worst, but no, it was very interesting and entertaining.

What a shambles, never seen such laid back train operators, the chap joining the electrical connection between carridges got me...a pair of pliers and a roll of insulating tape! It was entertaining though, Tarrant exhibiting some dry humour, I will certainly watch the next installment.

Yes, watched it last night and loved the electrical connection. Must show this to SWT!! Quite fascinating how some countries run their railways with rollling stock from the lastest country who want to bribe them to vote at the UN or the Olympics. Barbados or maybe St Lucia has a hospital built by the North Koreans alongside something else built by the Americans! Makes the West Coast main line cock a total waste of time. It would save so much if they just took a decent bribe!!!
Cheers David

Hi Ian Thankyou for the pointer took me back to when my father was an engineer on the railways in Africa, There was no such things as schools where we were and had a private tutor who came along with all the famillies. A lovely gentleman called Don Harmsworth who eventually went back to the UK to become a BBC presenter. Please keep us posted for other shows. Wishing everyone a pleasant holliday break Bob

Just saw this thread and tried to watch. The opening page looks wonderful, but when you try to view, a message pops up and says it can be viewed only from within the UK.
As I am in Oz, does anybody know a way in can be viewed from outside the UK?
(we are sort of part of the UK, just offshore a bit)

simplyloco,
thanks for pointing me to proxies. Installed it and tried it out. I get past the first hurdle and the lo and behold the movies starts to load, then up comes another (different and shorter) message saying bluntly you cannot view from outside the UK.
Tried several different proxies - some don't work at all (problem with loading page), but the ones that do work still won't unblock content, you just get one step further along.
Any more ideas anyone?

Deeja, Instead of using proxies, your best bet would be to sign up for a VPN service (Virtual Private Network). I use Vyper VPN and can watch all the UK web TV. The important thing to remember is that the proxy or VPN server you are connected to must be in the UK.
Another bonus with a VPN is that I can avoid bandwidth shaping techniques used by my Internet provider and it also provides a good level of additional privacy.
