Hi All I already have over 200 posts here so I thought it about time I introduced myself my name is Lee and I have had a slightly different past to most here I think, at the age of twelve I was run over by a double decker bus and spent two years solid in hospital and stopped counting at forty operations, this has left me fairly disabled I can walk but with difficulty, I have now been as they call it medically retired so I need my hobbies to keep me sane, I do have a few airbrushing, painting, photography, Photoshop, Bonsai and I used to make completely hand made knives, here is a few samples of my work but unfortunately making locomotives isn't one of them... Woodwork was my first love but a few years back I was offered a Myford Super 7 and I was hooked I have no engineering background I am totally self taught which will probably be apparent when you see my metal work but I'm hoping to get better most of my work is repairing things for people and I don't usually photograph those, at the moment I could only post pics of fairly simple tooling I have made! That's mighty impressive Lee, and a skill set that some of us would give our right arm for. It's great to see such a wide range of talents to add to the many already here.

Beautiful work Lee Since you have obviously experienced at first hand the problems of disability and mobility, you might wish to consider offering your skills as a volunteer for the charity REMAP. We design and manufactures unique items of equipment to aid those with a disability and which are supplied free to the client. www.remap.org.uk/Provides a link where you can locate your local panel officers where, I'm sure, they will make you most welcome.

Bob: I do have a steady hand but striping is another art I haven't tried it as yet I know they use enamel striping paint and I do have a few striping brushes but as I said haven't practised as yet but if your ever in Minehead I'll put the kettle on!
Jack: Yes I wouldn't mind getting involved at all as long as I could do it from home due to my health problems!

Hi Lee.
The dog portrait is outstanding (as is all the other work) - but I am a dog person, and you have captured their qualities beautifully and perfectly.
If there's one thing I wish I was good at it would be art.
Impressive stuff.
Mike.
