I have a large number of ME volumes taking up space in my garage. They're complete but not bound, in average condition, and are from the years 1967-1982. I was going to put them on eBay but old magazines never get any bids, and in any case I resent Ebay's new policy of charging commission on the postage. Nobody at my club wants them, so I'm offering them here before they go for recycling.
As most people on this forum are building locomotives, I've listed what's covered in each volume:
Vol 133: 3.1/2" Mabel, 5" Simplex, 5" IoW 02, 7.1/4" Highlander
Vol 134: 3.1/2" Mabel, 5" Simplex, 5" Railmotor, 5" Nigel Gresley
Vol 135: 0 gauge Royal Scot, 3.1/2" County Carlow, 5" Railmotor, 5" Nigel Gresley
Vol 136: 0 gauge Royal Scot, 2.1/2" Elaine, 3.1/2" County Carlow, 5" Nigel Gresley, 5" Princess of Wales, 7.1/4" Bridget
Vol 137: Gauge 1 Green Arrow, 2.1/2" Elaine, 5" Princess of Wales, 5" Jersey Lily, 7.1/4" Bridget
Vol 138: Gauge 1 Green Arrow, 5" Jersey Lily, 5" Torquay Manor, 7.1/4" Bridget
Vol 139: 3.1/2" Mountaineer, 5" Jersey Lily, 5" Torquay Manor, 5" Metro
Vol 140: 3.1/2" Mountaineer, 5" Metro, 5" Fury/Royal Engineer
Vol 141: 3.1/2" Derby 4F, 5" Fury/Royal Engineer
Vol 142: Gauge 1 Southern Belle, 3.1/2" Ella, 5" Fury/Royal Engineer, 5" Super Claud
Vol 143: Gauge 1 Southern Belle, 3.1/2" Ella, 3.1/2" Greene King, 5" Super Claud, 7.1/4" Holmside
Vol 144: Sorry this one's gone!
Vol 145: 3.1/2" Columbia, 5" Bulldog/Dukedog, 5" Enterprise
Vol 146: 3.1/2" Columbia, 3.1/2" Conway, 5" Bulldog/Dukedog, 5" Enterprise, 5" Ashford
Vol 147: 2.1/2" Flying Scotsman, 3.1/2" Conway, 3.1/2" Euston, 5" Bulldog/Dukedog, 5" Ashford, 7.1/4" Dart
Vol 148: 2.1/2" Flying Scotsman, 3.1/2" Euston, 5" Bulldog/Dukedog, 5" President, 7.1/4" Dart
Vol 149: 3.1/2" Spencer, 3.1/2" William, 3.1/2" Euston, 5" President, 5" Stratford, 7.1/4" Dart
Vol 150: 3.1/2" Spencer, 3.1/2" William, 5" President, 5" Stratford
Vol 151: 3.1/2" Spencer, 3.1/2" William, 5" President, 5" Stratford
It's amazing how many engines were covered, in what must have been the zenith years of model engineering!
If anyone is building, or thinking of building one of the above, and would like the relevant volumes, please send me a PM. I don't want to get involved in packaging this lot up and posting, so it's collection only from near Oxford. They're free, and once they're gone, they're gone together with all that information.
