Hi All,
For general small machining Google 'miniature steam engine' and have a look at the Sherline pages, it seems they sponser a contest in the States for very small engines etc. You can now get a Sherline lathe already fitted with a microscope!!
To quote from the web page, 'Jerry Kieffer was on hand once again to demonstrate the precision capabilities of the Sherline lathe by turning a 1/2" diameter bar of steel down to a .010" diameter hair and then drilling a .005" hole down the center of it.'
