Hi all , could anyone advise me where I can get some loco coil springs as Ive just discovered that the ones supplied by Reeves dont fit my studs on the axleboxes.......as they have been tapped 4 BA ! and of course the Reeves springs only fit 5BA.......all the joys of taking on a part built !. Cheers Tony.

Hi Tony, I found this firm on the net some time ago which sells springs of all shapes and sizes in small quantities. Might be worth having a browse. www.cisdirect.co.uk/default.aspAlso GLR sell a small range. I presume Blackgates etc. will also sell them. If all else fails you can always wind your own. Not too difficult and a lot cheaper! John

Standard locos. There is also an interesting website about a 7-1/4" Brit under construction that might be of interest. Details of the Winson Britannia model saga can be seen hereHope this is of assistance.

Hi Tony, Don't forget our own Alan Stepney, who lists a number of drawing errors on his website www.alanstepney.info/JohnP

Hi, Tony - you could try Lee springs. They have an enormous range of them in music wire and stainless; their website will give you all the information you need. We use them from work here. They take plastic money, too. Usual disclaimer. www.leespring.co.uk
