hi I have just started building a Y4 Whats the best way to machine the horn blocks

There is more than one way to skin a cat .It depends on how are your castings supplied . For example if are individuals then may be better to semi finish ,rivet to frames then bolt frames together and Carry out final milling. This is most common way the horns are cast. More information is needed to get more responses.

thanks the Horn blocks are individual and fit on to the frame the backs are flat .ie no flange to fit inside the cutout on the frame the sides of the blocks are tapered that may be a good idea to rivet to the frame them mill out to suite the axel block. thanks ivan
