G'day all. I have this day received a copy of Jack Buckler's book "Build your own steam locomotive" an essay on the Sweet Pea. I wil probably finish up building a Blowfly but this book is incredible. I can recommend it to any like me who are relatively inexperienced; Jack Buckler makes the job appear so logical. I also received a copy of the AMBSC Code Part 1 for Copper Boilers. Professionally I am used to reading and interpretting codes and this on is a good one; very helpful. Again I recommend it to newbies.

I agree the Buckler book on Sweet Pea is a superb read for anyone starting out, a lot easier to grasp than Martin Evans and LSBC, makes you want to go out and start straight away.

Ian, is that the book described as 'Construction Manual' by Blackgates?
Interested in anything that makes it seem easier!
Cheers, Andy

G'day Andy. I bought my copy from EJ Winter in Oz, price AUD55.00. The price would equate to about UKP15.00. The IBSN 1 85761 102 0, publisher TEE. Interestingly Blackgates have an advert on the inside cover. Hope this helps.

G'day Ian I have to agree, very easy to read and makes it all seem simple. Arrived from Tee Publishing this week and I also managed to complete my set of Locomotives Large and Small with the last issue - sobering reading as Don sold his business and prepared for the end.
Most impressed with Tee, no connection etc
