Help please, I tried to do a hydraulic test on the boiler but there is a hole about 3-4mm where the dome bush is fitted into the boiler barrell any suggestions please as how I can plug this hole, it appears to be in the soldering or brazing. Also any help on how the regulator assembly is removed from the boiler barrell is it screwed in from the smoke box end. I have had the regulator rod out of the Backhead Thankyou.

John, what would be of inestimable help to you would be to obtain copies of the original series on building Doris.
They are volumes 98-101, published in 1948 and 1949.
These issues are often seen for sale at minimal cost.
Apart from showing you how everything was to be made and fitted together, they will also help with dimensions etc, for any replacemetn parts required, and will have lots of other "'ints and tipses" to help you along.
(The rest of the magazines always makes for interesting reading too.)

John,
Do you have access to oxyacetelene as the best solution might be to re-braze the joint having first pacled it with a clean copper rivet.
