hi all does anyone have any tip, advice or web sites to help me learn how to use the new DC tig welder I've just got? I'm having some success with it as I have experience in arc and mig welding but my lack of theory is painfully obvious.
thanks in advance

I have a 5 - 90 amp scratch start tig and I'm getting good results with it. Learning how to scratch the arc is the major obstacle especially down at 5 amps! Once you are going the sound of a good weld is priceless. I bought the tig set to make the combustor for my gas turbine (0.5mm stainless) but have since used it too make a bathing platform for my boat and welded the bogie sideframes for my dads Doug Hewson riding car. Just ask a question and I'm sure there is an answer! I have a Tig welding course .pdf file I can forward you, the email is about 1.5MB. I use argon gas and have a full size bottle (£70 refill) and have had the best results with stainless, Paul Gammon isn't getting my custom!
