Now this might seem a bit simple some might even say where has he been all his life, but just in case there are some out there who are as thick as me.
I just worked out what those little house icons mean at the left hand side of postings.
Baggo refered to them in one of his replies, low and behold there is a new world out there of fantastic information from members.
If like me your a computer dumbo and have missed the point, click on one you will see what I mean.

Hi all, what 'Wayside'' is referring to is the icon for the posters ''home page'' ...if he has one...i/e Baggo for instance...click on to the little House icon to the left of the post and it will take you to his home web page, some interesting stuff there Baggo...if you go into ''MEMBERS'' and scroll down the lists, all users with home pages can be identified with the little ''House'' icon, Hope this helps. All the best for now, John.

I am chuffed to bit's with this post, I found jj's home page as a result and it is most useful and well worth reading and I found another way of getting even more info via the list.
Great stuff.

I agree wholeheartedly about baggo's site apart from the one glaring omission. No where does he mention the Tardis he must be using to get so much excellent work done in so little time ;D
Just jealous John - honestly!

Andy, I've had to put the Tardis section of the website on hold for the time being due to copyright issues with the Time Lords! ;D
Seriously though, thanks for the positive feedback on the site. When I was starting back into ME I spent a lot of time searching the web for sites on building locos etc and was surprised at how few there actually are. I found some very good ones such as those of J-E Nyström and H.Watanabe to name but two and they gave me the inspiration to do one myself. The idea was to illustrate just what is involved in building a loco etc and hopefully help other people to do the same. I think many beginners decide to start on a project without really knowing what they are letting themselves in for, hence the number of part built projects that finish up on Ebay! I often use it for reminding myself how I did a particular machining operation. It's easy to forget after 12 months or so! I now have a list of all the sites that I have found and visit them regularly to see if any progress has been made on the latest project. I think I'm as anxious as John (JJ) as to when the final Britannia kit will arrive! I'm sorry to see that Jason's site does not seem to have been updated for some time now. As to the rapid progress of work, I now only work part time and being single I can devote as much spare time as I want to the workshop. The bad weather has been a very good excuse for me not to do any gardening or other much needed outdoor work! Helen has also progressed fairly rapidly due to me wanting a loco to run at the 2½" gauge rallies. I was beginning to feel a bit left out just standing watching other people driving theirs! I'm a bit at a loss now which project to tackle next. Should I finish the Flying Scotsman, start on the Simplex, or............................

John, I think it's time for you to start on that 7 1/4" King George V you've been promising yourself.

John if you can build the King go ahead , you will never regret doing it . Once there was on the market here someone who had all the casting and materials for 7.25" GWR King , I considered very seriously to take it on but lack of space and equipment capacity prevented me from doing so . Instead I built the 5" version (see my web page) . What an engine .
