Guys,
I know most here either can't afford or won't afford to buy Model Engineer so you may not be aware that they're selling advance tickets for the up and coming show at Ascot at a fiver.
It seems that this show is going to be a biggy. They are dragging in all sorts of stuff made by the great and the good and the stuff the SMEE keep in their vault.
You got until 23 August to buy one.
One thing I'm not sure about is that my ticket has Friday the 7th on it which suits me. Not sure if they are all dated.

Hi Steve I am going to go but I'm probably on the Saturday, I think I'd better get an advance ticket too. Especially at that price I'll look and see if the date can be requested. Hoping to see fellow badge wearers there. Cheers Brian

Hi Steve,
The ticket website claims that the tickets can be used on any day. I may go Friday if not Saturady. Still waiting for my ticket to arrive....

I ordered my tickets over two weeks ago and they still have not arrived. I wonder is any one else finding the delivery of their tickets for the show rather slow?

Usually the "ME/MEW" organisation sends out all the advance tickets towards the end or shortly after the closing date for ordering.
I've had a few "sleepless nights" worrying that they wouldn't arrive on time. Of course, this is also the first year that tickets can be ordered "on line" - rather than only by Telephone or Snail-mail - so that may have simmut to do with it.
Merridian (London - Ali-Pali -and Midland's shows) send out within a few days of the order.
I'm just about to order my ticket "on line", so I'll let you know if I hit a snag.

I've had my tickets a couple of months I think they came almost by return but I did order over the phone. The last time I ordered over the web they came within a week. If you can, check your credit card statement to see whether the money has been extracted and when. If over two weeks ago chase the organisers.

If you order through the web site, it re-directs you to Ticketline.
Their bumpf states that the tickets will be sent to you shortly before the event. I have a reminder in my diary for August 31st to check if I have received them, and follow-up if not.
Cheers....Steve
