Out of interest, There was a photo in 'Old Glory' of the Modelworks 'Likamobile' (.....looks like their demonstrator) at a rally in Nothern Ireland. Sadly both the back stub axles had sheared, resulting in both back wheels falling off. This must be something of a worry to anyone building one of the kits.......

Just the sort of publicity they could do without!

I understand that Modelworks got the design for this vehicle from a member of MESNI, Mr Eric Hughes who, quite rightly, gets a royalty for every example sold. His car is very reliable, robust and well used and I can't imagine it collapsing so I think that the one you mention must be their demonstrator! I have ridden on Eric's car and it has amazing acceleration and seems very responsive despite only having tiller steering. Eric tears around everywhere on it, his is called 'Freddy'.
Cheers
Brian
