My name is David White and I'm the Director of Jenkins Steel Ltd. On the back of our successful eBay store & positive feedback received from model engineers etc. we have created & gone live with an 'easy to use' '1 click' online metal store. Our main aim is to offer engineering steel bar both ferrous & non ferrous at very competitive prices with no minimum order charge to small businesses, model engineers or if your readers require a bit of steel for a project we are here to help. We are not a large corporate business who frown at people wanting to purchase small amounts of steel or require technical advice we are completely the opposite! Because we are a steel stockholder we can offer members prices that are affordable and delivered free to their door whether it's to a residential or business address. We are a family owned business and are the sister company of a very successful precision engineering company Roles Precision Contractors Ltd so have lots of experience in engineering & steel stockholding/supply. I would like to know if I can add a link to our new store to this forum please?

Also, do you do steel that isn't just round stock?

Hi, yes this is a website that I designed and I'm also the sales director. We predominantly stock round bar unfortunately. However we are a steel stockholder and can source pretty much anything and should be competitive so if there is anything at all that is not listed on the website please by all means email me with your requirements & I will see if I can help you. A quick check shows 30mm brass bar is readily available from Ebay traders for substantially less than your website price , when the VAT is added.
Any comment ?

I've just took time to have a look through eBay and there aren't many listings cheaper and certainly not substantially cheaper than ours and there is not 1 with the amount of products/dimensions that we offer. 1 of the listings that is cheaper states that there may be scuffs on the bar which is not the case with our stock. We have over 900 products on our website and because we are a steel stockholder every item sold has full mill certification and traceability. I have created an 'easy to use' interface that hopefully will save the consumer time & money. In the end if people have the time to search through 100's of listings I'm sure someone somewhere will have cheaper products however they will not have the range of steel and customer service that we provide.

I've just had a quick look so far and am pleased to see the price includes delivery which should be remembered, as that knocks up the cost and can sometimes put me off with some cases on ebay. There is a very large steel stock holders just two miles from my house and they charge £17.0 Plus, for even this short journey so I have to make arrangement to collect as and when. So I would be interested in the future. Thanks.
