Can anybody give me a clue as to what sort of price one should be paying for a boiler for the above and also any recommendations as to who is a reliable manufacturer.

Hi, The going price for a boiler for yours is about £18oo. I have ordered mine from Western Steam in Somerset. The web site is www.westernsteam.com/index.php and the lead time is about 16 months for mine, but yours might be in stock. Hope this is of some help for you. I've just started building my 2" scale Burrell Tractor. Garry

The ploughing engine boiler is quite a bit bigger than a Burrell, i know someone who had a BB1 done a while ago which is similar size and you will be looking at about £2300 to £2500 As well as helen at Western Steam you could try Paul at Southern Boiler Works. www.ptmachining.co.uk/
