Just saying Hi, I'm currently starting my first scale loco build after some minor stationary engine projects in the past; have a 3.5 gauge LBSC Britannia on the go. I'm a member of the West Wiltshire Model Engineering Society and live in North Dorset. I'm an aircraft engineer by day but I've had lots of different jobs in the past (from teaching to motorsport).
Looking forward to trawling this forum; I primarily joined because of the interesting thread on the Britannia rebuild being carried out.
Thanks,
Jon.

Welcome to the forum Jon....you'll find lots of info here on a Britannia, there are a number being built or overhauled right now. John (simplyloco) is also building LBSC's Britannia, he's at an advanced stage so you should be able to find answers to any questions in his build pages as you progress..
Kind regards
Pete

Thank you, I've been watching his thread with interest. Disheartening as I don't think I could get anywhere near his standard of work!

Disheartening as I don't think I could get anywhere near his standard of work! you will Jon...there's no 'rocket science' involved, just take it one step at a time. Start slowly, double checking as you go and things will soon speed up....good luck with the build.. Pete
