Hello I have bought some steel and obtained some basic drawings and about to start building this little loco. I have access to a lathe and mill and I might add that I'm very green ( newbie ) to this

Hello Kenny, I woulod advise that you buy ready cut frames from E&J Winter as they have a hole cut between the wheels to make it easier to oil the innards. They are a very simple loco but a very good club work horse that can be forgiving of indifferent workmanship. I knpw of one built by a bricklayer and was made with the same tolerances as he laid bricks and it has given god service for many years. There have been a least 200 built since the design came out in the mid 1980's. Keep at it and good luck with the build.
