YES! Having enquired via the company web site and being informed at £120 ish!!!
A rapid think and search got me a backplate that fits many of the Warco popular set
of Lathes at £37 including postage. Blis.
Just a slight delay on getting over to the steel suppliers on the other hill due to the snow!
Yes the idea is to machine a tight fitting adapter over the spindle while it is out.
And machine this when back on the lathe to fit the new ones!
The great result being that the nuts are also further out and more reachable!
For the largest chuck, A 4 jaw self centering one. I got a very cheap Boxford backplate
which can be machined to fit while I am doing them.
