Whilst doing something productive at work my eyes fell on some 15mm copper fittings I had been using. An idea jumped into my head. I roughly chopped (didn't even mark out or measure) a couple of street elbows on the band saw and pushed them into a coupling. Hey Presto! an exhaust Tee. It just needs to be done with a bit of care to get the pieces to meet more closely and a quick silver solder 20190306_131957 by Sigma Projects, on Flickr

It works very well Andy. Here's a picture of the pipework for my Stanier 2-6-4T. Sorry for the rubbish picture - a scan of an under-exposed photograph.

Don uses standard 15mm elbows on Doncaster for his blast nozzle arrangement..

Or, if you would like a slightly larger sweep in the exhaust line, you could use 1/2" copper tube. Push it around a form to your required radius, then silver solder the assembly. DSCN0957 by Builder16, on Flickr
