Hi Nigel,
I acquired a chassis and various other bits for one last year, I know there are a fair few errors on the drawings even down to simple things like stretcher holes not lining up so I am going to be re-working a lot of it and hopefully supplying The Steam Workshop with new drawings in time but that's a long way off.
They make great engines just need to go through it all very carefully.
Good luck! Adam

Doug Hewson did a build series in Engineering in Minature. I'm not sure of the numbers, I'll check in the morning.

Hi Nigel.
The series in EIM started in the July 1999 issue, and the last article was in the January 2008 issue. I have all the magazines and I created an index of the various articles and what each describes, in Excell, for future reference. If you would like a copy of the file, PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy.
Bob.

Hi Nigel.
Good luck with the build. It might be worth contacting Mike Jack (44767) about castings. He has produced lots for his own class 4 tank, and they are some of the best and most accurate castings on the market.

I think Bob just stole my thunder 😊. Mike Oops! Sorry Mike. That was not my intention. It was just that I have produced an index that makes finding a particular issue, that describes a section of the Hewson Class 4 tank build, very easy. If anyone wants a copy of the Excell file, they are more than welcome, just PM me with an email address. Bob.

No doubt some cross over though Adam

No doubt some cross over though Adam Hi Nigel, Maybe you'd like to consider building the Class 3 Tank! There are three others building it now and it would be great to have another one being built. See here for my thread following my one: BR Std Class 3. You'll get a great deal of help along the way. Mike
