Have got to the point on my 5" gauge Hunslet build where I have connected the short brake rods up to the brake shaft.
I think Don Young may have been a bit tight on the length such that the rear brake shoes are hard against the wheels. The long brake rods and front brake shoes are fine.
I therefor need to lengthen the short brake rods and some adjustment feature may be worthwhile.
I plan to make some 2BA turnbuckles. I have sourced some hex bar.
Has anybody a set of Left Hand Thread 2BA taps and die that they would be willing to loan out? To be returned as soon as finished with.
