Angle Plate casting

When College Engineering was under its previous ownership, Howard used to produce an unslotted webbed angle plate casting about 3" x 3" x5".
It isn't in the current list of available angle plates and all the ones they do show are too small.

Does anyone have an unmachined 3" x3" x5" casting lurking about that they don't want?

I know I could probably get a used angle plate cheap enough off ebay, but for what I want it for, I don't need the slots in it

Unfortunately, even their largest one is a bit too small for what I need.

Maybe not ideal but a section of thick-wall steel angle 'iron' or hollow square tube with rmachined faces might meet your needs

Christmas gift flyer has 3.5"x 2.5" webbed angle plate at £15.75.

Its a bit small as well, I need 5" x3" x3", but as you say, its the thought that counts, so thanks anyway.

Failing that I recently swapped a few e-mails with Lee who used to do the casting for college engineering, if you send him your own pattern he should be able to cast for you. I've had a few flywheels off him and the iron is good quality and well cast.
