Hello All, I hope someone can help me.
Does anybody know who made/constructed the Winson boilers for there 7 1/4 INCH GAUGE LYNTON & BARNSTAPLE 2-4-2T "LYN". Winson built 10 back in the 1990's but I am after boiler history rather than locomotive history.
If people do, is the company still around as trying to trace a boiler and we have a code.
Thank you for you your time.
Many thanks
Bruce H.

Hi Bruce. I volunteer with a former employee of Winson who tells me that all of the steel Lyn boilers were made in house. I asked him the question because I need a boiler and was hoping to use the original builder.
I don't know what happened to any records when the company went under - I'd be surprised if anyone thought to save them.

Shame about the records though.
Best of luck with sourcing your boiler.
