For something completely different i thought I'd load up several shots of the Durango & Sliverton Narrow Gauge (3ft) Railroad which we had the good fortune to ride in late January in what is obviously perfect weather. the loco is a Rio Grande Class K-36 2-8-2 Mikado see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_Grande_class_K-36this railroad runs all year through some of the most spectacular mountain terrain in south west Colorado and is an absolute must for any aficionado see www.durangotrain.com/ciao Martyn

I copied the drawings and pasted them into Windows paint programme, they appear to be greater than 1:1 scale, although the scale factor doesn't appear on the drawings. I assume that these are regarded as assembly drawings and beneath these are piece part drawings? Exellent clarity with the added benefit of an isometric drawing which overcomes any ambiguity often seen when only three angle projections are provided. What is the intended purpose of the drawings, are they going to be published for the benefit of other builders?

Thanks Brian almost all the drawings are at 1:1.5 with small compnents drawn at 1:3 and the General Arrangement and frame drawings uploaded in Sept last year are drawn at 1:1 to fit them on our standard A0 sheet.
you're correct that these are assembly drawings alongsinde detailed component drawings will in due course be avaiable to model engineers to use in conjunction with 3D printed parts avaiable for purchase Our aim is to enable model engineers to build a high quality loco with minimal fabrication and machining. make sure that you've looked through this blog at the other drawings i've uploaded.
ciao Martyn
