Welcome theflyingscotsman! Please feel free to post questions and queries as you will. There is lots of knowledge on the board and many keen to share it! We all like pictures so please look at the instructions on posting them, you will need a third party picture hosting site but once that is set up its pretty simple to do. Enjoy!

Hiya new to the group so hello everyone. I live near Pontefract and have started a 5inch gauge flying scotsman, if I can help you I will and id love any help you can give me. Thanks again Hi Welcome to the forum and congrats on such a wonderful choice of a locomotive to build. I am also building a 5" gauge model of her and have collected an awful lot of information during 20+ years of research. Feel free to ask questions as you build your model, most of my info covers her in the '30s but I have picked up details of her throughout her long life from other periods too. I have a build thread on this forum and also a blog which is easier to find details that you may require, mine is built to Don Young's 'Doncaster' design. 4472flyingscotsman.co.uk/Good luck with the build...
