Walker Midgley have just launched a new Quote & Buy website, where Individual Modellers and Model Engineers can obtain a quote for their personal modelling insurance requirements, such as their models, loco’s, home workshops, liability cover etc, You are able to purchase a policy and get immediate cover as well as having your policy documents available and emailed across to you straight away. This means that you can get a quote and buy your cover, amend your policy and renew your cover – all online, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day – at your own convenience.


We have tried to make the website as user friendly and easy to navigate as possible (it also has the facility to Quote and Buy Vintage Tractor Insurance as well!), and indeed some of the early feedback has been very positive. I would also advise that we will always be available to assist if you get stuck or need a helping hand with using the online quote system as the webquote system links in with our own back office system virtually in real time.

Just tried to get a quote and gave up, found the site difficult to navigate, asks if you are a club member but only gives option of northern or southern fed, 7 1/4 gauge society and a couple more, gave up at about this point, I will wait until I see them at a show, whenever that may be.

Just got a quote - couldn't be easier. If you're a member of a club you simply select the parent association and then type in the name of your club on the next line. Can't have taken me any longer than 2 minutes if that.
