I previously added a thread of the tender build for this loco and have now added some pictures of the loco build so far. It has not been without its drama and after a house move and a new workshop build I think I am now making progress again. Still a long way to go. Will be St Peter's School York 60847 as around 1960. www.flickr.com/photos/16493881@N08/albums/72157713662429276/with/50915912746/

I have added a few more pictures today of progress on a new inside cylinder that had to be remade. The original was made to the drawing and I discovered there is a serious error on the drawings where the piston valve/steam chest liner faces are shown flat with the ends of the cylinder. Given the piston valve is at an angle of 6 deg to the cylinder there is no way the steam chest liner would seat and the length of the steam chest would not be correct. Unfortunately the unmachined casting is barely long enough to do a completely proper job angling these faces but I think I have got it near enough that will work. If anyone out there is building a V2 to the Breeze design BEWARE.
An experienced model engineer would have probably picked this up before making it. But I am afraid I trusted the drawing.
