Hi There,
I'm 57 and work for the Ambulance Service here in Scotland.
I've always had an interest in engineering/modeliing and have recently built/converted a Warco WM18 to CNC in the garage that is recently converted to a workshop now and I'm about to add a lathe and convert it to cnc soon(ish).
I plan on modifying and making parts for 3D printers and lasers with them but I am also about to build a Stuart S50 probably followed by a few more of the stationary engines.
Also following on from those I plan to build a 3.5" live steam locomotive... No rush but its all very interesting. I plan on using the stationary engines to develop skills and discover the tools I need and purchase them prior to starting the locomotive.
Phew! Wall of text, Apologies.
Basically, Hello!
Regards
James

Hi James. And welcome on board.
WM18. I have one and the Motor Overheated the other day. Turns out they do get very hot and would be helped by a fan and methods of getting air into the plastic box surrounding. Also air into the bottom of the Motor which I have done on the new one.
David and assistant Lily.
