Hello everyone. I'm new here and just starting out in model engineering. I've recently built a workshop with a Colchester chipmaster lathe, Chester 626 mill and various accessories for both. I have a part built 5 inch gauge mogul which will be a long term project as I'm (only) 38. Lots to learn!

That gives you plenty of time. Nice to have some decent kit. Perhaps treat the mogul as a quick learning project then do one from scratch? I've heard it said that your third boat is the one you really wanted - hopefully model engineers are quicker to hit the sweet spot.

Welcome to the forum and to the hobby. Even after more years than i care to admit to i still learn and improve every day, this is what makes model engineering. Always glad to see photos.
