Malcolm, Yes you are quite correct, i think Peter passed in 2014. I have no info as to what happened to the drawing masters and patterns that he must have held.

Polly took the P. J. Rich models over, well according to their website. They also list a comprehensive range of GWR wheel castings so it looks like there is a real possibility that the Swindon wheel pattern could be there. Give them a bell, you got nothing to lose and all to gain.

Hello everyone,
STOP PRESS !!.....I have only just seen this thread........Some years ago I started to build a Martin Evans "Swindon" then about 18 months later a completed one came my way........ I still have the 8 fully machined wheels available complete with 4 axles ........ tell your friend to hold on while I sort things out, take photos etc and get back to you on here OR}--- send me a PM for further chat ..OK ??
Alan ..
PS}--- Yes, Polly did take over Peter's patterns etc but I fear they seem to be getting past their prime, going by my experiences a while back..

Nmm. I think I'd like to know quite a bit about a foundry before parting with serious money for a set of wheels that have to be fully machined without Hncovering blowholes, hard spots etc. Most of his work seems to be replacement parts for stoves where such things are not that important.
