Hi all
I am in the early stages of scaling up Martin Evans 5" Jinty to a 7.25" guage. I am working from the issues of Model Engineer and have not obtained the full size drawings yet. In the magazine there is a drawing of a wheel showing the dimensions and where the weights are positioned on the middle and outer wheels but there is no information at all regarding the spokes. I wondered if anyone with the full size drawings could tell me if this information is on them or not?
Many thanks Jim

Hi Jim,
According to Mike Sharman's 'Wheel specifications for the modeller' the wheels for the 3F have 15 spokes with the crankpin in line with one of the spokes.

Hi ukjimoo. I started on a 7 1/4" jinty two years ago. I had to convert the measurements from the 5" drawings. [Multiplying everything by 1.45] The worry was the valve gear but everything turned out fine. If you want any help or pictures you can email me. billwright38@btinternet.com. Bill.
